The Betz Ranch is located in the foothills of Northern California. This beautiful area is ideally suited for a variety of deer species. Our large acreage is covered with oak trees, browse, and native grasses.
We are dedicated to maintaining a free-range natural environment for our herd. Only alfalfa is used as a feed supplement. No artificial feed or growth stimulants are ever used.
Our herd is 100% Fallow Deer, a species prized for its mild, tender, delicious meat. Fallow venison is served in some of the finest restaurants in Northern California and the world.
Fallow venison makes an excellent choice for those seeking variety and a healthy meat alternative. It has one-third the calories and one-eighth the fat of beef, and is lower in cholesterol than skinless chicken breast.
